Poll: "Slick Rick's Most Embarrassing Moment?"

What is the quintessential Rick Perry quote?

  • "Adios, Mofo"
  • "Why don't you just let us get on down the road?"
  • Recession? "I said, 'We're in one?'"
  • "My brain is like a chicken pot pie."
  • All of the above.

With our new web video today, “Life of Luxury”, the Perry campaign just received some chocolate covered strawberries in honor of the “chocolate strawberries covered” body wrap treatment that Rick Perry may or may not have gotten when he charged taxpayers for spa treatments. For instructions on how to make the body wrap, they’ll have to talk to Rick Perry because we have no clue what a “chocolate strawberries covered” body wrap is.

NEW WEB VIDEO: "Life of Luxury"

Today, Texans for Kay Bailey Hutchison released its newest web video, “Life of Luxury.” Throughout his time in government, Rick Perry’s travel has cost taxpayers almost half a million dollars. Last year alone, Perry spent over $115,000 on taxpayer-funded trips, including a bachelor party in Las Vegas and a stay at a “swanky” hotel in Israel for a night at a “scotch and cigar bar.”

Perry’s history of living high off the hog at taxpayer expense goes back years; in 1992, then-Agriculture Commissioner Perry enjoyed a three-night stay at the Greenbrier Resort, where he charged Texas taxpayers for spa therapeutic services, tennis & golf dining, and a limo service to the airport. The Perry record: living a life of luxury on the taxpayers’ dime.

With the Super Bowl over, it’s time to pick your favorite ad. We’re kind of biased here at the Hutchison campaign and really liked the one called “Out Much” featuring Rob, Dave, Mark and Mike. Check it out below in case you missed it during the game.

So far, the chatter and feedback have been overwhelming and overwhelmingly positive. We just think people could use a break and a laugh at the Perry hypocrisy every once and a while.
